ذَرْهُمْ یَاْكُلُوْا وَ یَتَمَتَّعُوْا وَ یُلْهِهِمُ الْاَمَلُ فَسَوْفَ یَعْلَمُوْنَ(۳)(سورۃ الحجر)
Translation : (O Prophet) leave them in their state so that they may eat well, enjoy themselves, and false hopes keep them distracted¹, because soon they will come to know (what the reality was).
1: In this verse, the Holy Quran has drawn attention to the fact that making just eating, drinking, and enjoying oneself in the world the real purpose of one's life, and for this, keeping on harboring such long false hopes as if this life is all there is—this is the work of disbelievers. A Muslim definitely lives in the world and also benefits from the blessings given in it by Allah Almighty, but he does not make this world the purpose of his life. Instead, he uses it for the good of the Hereafter, the best way for which is adherence to the commands of Shariah. (Asan Tarjumat-ul-Quran)
