Hadis al-Rasool ﷺ

Translation : It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that in the beginning, the prayer was made obligatory as two rak'ahs, then the prayer of traveling was left as it is, and the prayer of residence (staying) was completed (as four rak'ahs).

The Witty Advice of Mullah Nasiruddin to Amir Timur

The Witty Advice of Mullah Nasiruddin to Amir Timur

One day, Amir Timur Lang was holding court. The courtiers were standing in their respective places in a respectful manner. Referring to the Caliphs of Baghdad, Timur said, "Their titles used to be very magnificent. For example, Mustaqzir Billah, Wathiq Billah, Mu'tasim Billah, and Mutawakkil Billah, etc. I wish to adopt some title of this kind as well." The courtiers suggested various titles according to their own understanding... When it was Mullah Nasiruddin's turn, he sought amnesty for his life and submitted, "In the humble opinion of this insignificant person, Your Majesty's title 'Na'oodhu Billah' (We seek refuge in Allah) will be very appropriate."
