Translation
Aswad bin Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was at home, what would he do?" Hazrat Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "He would do the same work that the household members did, meaning he would participate in the household chores. Then, when the call to prayer (Takbeer for Salah) was given, he would leave the work and go for Salah. (This is also a sign of extreme humility.)" (Tuhfat-ul-Qari)
