Muhaqqaq Masala

Some people rub their hands over their chest after greeting and shaking hands (salam and musafaha), whereas rubbing hands over the chest after shaking hands is neither mentioned in any Hadith, nor have the honorable jurists (Fuqaha) mentioned it in the books of jurisprudence (Fiqh). This is merely a custom, therefore, it should be avoided. (Aham Masail / Vol: 3 / Pg: 291)
