If a person takes a loan from someone and mortgages his motorcycle with the creditor, then it is not permissible for the creditor to use it. However, if the rent for its use is fixed according to the market rate and is adjusted against the loan, then it is permissible, but now the contract of pledge (Uqd-e-Rahn) will terminate and it will become a contract of lease (Uqd-e-Ijarah), and renewal of possession (Tajdeed-e-Qabza) will be necessary.
