Muhaqqaq Masala

Some people rub their hands over their chests after greeting (Salam) and shaking hands (Musafaha), whereas rubbing hands on the chest after shaking hands is neither mentioned in any Hadith, nor have the respected jurists (Fuqaha) mentioned it in the books of jurisprudence (Fiqh). This is merely a custom, therefore it should be avoided. (Aham Masail / Vol: 3 / Pg: 291)
