A week will pass, and the routine of your children returning to school will begin.
Two weeks will pass, and the coming and going of people offering condolences will stop.
By three weeks, the visits to your grave will drop from daily to once every two or three days.
A month will pass, and the television will start running again in the house.
About a month and a half later, your children will return to movies, songs, and cartoons.
Visits to your grave will become weekly, i.e., on Fridays (every seventh day).
By two months, your spouse (wife or husband) will laugh at something or smile a little.
By four months, Bollywood and Hollywood movies and songs will completely rule the house again.
Laughter will echo over humorous conversations.
Six months pass, and your grave is now visited only once a month.
A year passes, and the family members will think: "A whole year has passed today. When did we last visit the grave? Maybe a month ago? When did we last pray for them? Perhaps we don't even remember."
Believe it, no matter how big a shot you may think you are, in just one year, you will become a practical example of the first verse of Surah Ad-Dahr: "Has there not been upon man a period of time when he was nothing?"
Undoubtedly, that was about the time before birth. But you can think of it regarding life after death as well.
No matter how beloved you and I are to people, we are nothing, our worth is nothing...
In short, prepare good deeds for yourself on your own; do not rely on anyone after death...!
