Keep one principle in mind that the desire of a husband and wife is always to become one. Their bodies should become one, they should sacrifice themselves for each other, they should live a life of love and affection with each other, and their hearts should become one. Therefore, write this phrase in your hearts: "When you become righteous (Nek), then you will become one (Ek)." Until righteousness enters human natures, hearts cannot become one. When you become righteous, you will become one. For this reason, the husband should also become righteous and have the fear of God in his heart, and the wife should also have the fear of God in her heart. Therefore, read Surah An-Nisa and see. After every few verses, you will find the words "Ittaqullah" (fear Allah), "Ittaqullah", "Ittaqullah". This is because Allah Almighty knew that until there is fear of Allah in the hearts of husband and wife, they will not be able to live a life of love and affection with each other. Some elders used to say that a woman who does not become a servant of the One Allah, then has to become a servant of thousands. Now look at these women working in offices! The poor things become salesgirls and plead with all kinds of customers in different manners.

The Comprehensive Framework of Islamic Sharia to Eradicate Obscenity

If the firm measures established by Islamic Sharia to eradicate obscenity (fuhshi) from the world are summarized, they can be classified under the following headings in sequence: (1) Mindset conditioning against obscenity through promises of reward and warnings of punishment in the Quran and Hadith. (2) Restraining women from leaving the house unnecessarily. (3) The commandment of Hijab (veil) for women. (4) The commandment to lower the gaze for non-mahram (stranger) men and women. (5) Prohibition of seclusion (Khalwah) between a non-mahram man and woman. (6) Prohibition of traveling together for a non-mahram man and woman. (7) Prohibition of soft and casual conversation between a non-mahram man and woman. (8) Emphasis on adopting the lawful path and entering into marriage (Nikah). (9) Prohibition of spreading and broadcasting obscenities. (10) Severe punishments upon the proof of adultery/fornication (Zina). The experience of the world shows that whenever and wherever the aforementioned system for protecting chastity and modesty was implemented, such beautiful scenes of purity, righteousness, and chastity were witnessed that the world was left astonished. Today, despite thousands of evils and despite the means of obscenity being present in every home, the ratio of chastity among those associated with Islam is, Praise be to Allah, much higher than others. However, since the poison of immodesty is increasing to a dangerous level in the atmosphere, there is no room for complacency; rather, there is a need to remain vigilant, cautious, and alert.
