*Humorous*

An Indian went to an Arab country. There, he was sitting in a park surrounded by grand mansions. Meanwhile, he noticed an Arab smoking a cigarette, then another, and after a short while, another. Seeing this, the Indian asked the Arab, "How many rupees worth of cigarettes do you smoke daily?" He mentioned a certain amount. The Indian calculated: this much in a day, this much in a week, this much in a month, and this much in a year; it became a huge amount. Then he said to the Arab, "If you didn't smoke cigarettes, how much money would you have saved, with which this mansion would be yours, and that mansion would also be yours!" The Arab asked him, "Do you smoke cigarettes?" The Indian replied, "No." The Arab said, "Then this mansion must be yours, and that mansion must also be yours?" Then he added, "This mansion is also mine, and that one is also mine. All these mansions belong to me, despite so much smoking."

*Lesson*

When advising or cautioning someone about something, one should speak with such wisdom and logic that the intellect accepts it. Here, because building such huge mansions just by saving cigarette money was against common sense, the Arab’s intellect did not accept it. Instead, if he had said, "What will be the state of your health due to so much smoking? If not today, then tomorrow it will have a very bad effect on your health," then this point would have appealed to the intellect, and it is possible that the Arab would have given up smoking.

The Test of True Love and Obedience to the Prophet ﷺ

The Test of True Love and Obedience to the Prophet ﷺ

My respected teacher of Bukhari Sharif, resident of Baqi, Hazrat Aqdas Maulana Islam-ul-Haq Sahib (may Allah have mercy on him), shared a valuable insight during a lecture on Bukhari Sharif: that love is truly tested at the time of conflict and confrontation. For instance, you may superficially feel that you love your wife more than your mother, but when a conflict arises between them, the actual reality will be revealed as to whom you love more. Similarly, the true state of one’s love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ is also known at the time of conflict. If one's parents, wife, or children commit a disrespectful act against the Holy Prophet ﷺ, observe what the condition of your heart is at that moment. I was submitting that my respected mentor (Hazrat) stated: Alhamdulillah, the love for Allah's Prophet ﷺ exists in the heart of every believer and is greater than everything else. Neither love for parents, nor for children, nor for wife, nor for anyone else is like this. Then the question arises: if love is greater than everything, why is there a lack of obedience? This is because there is a principle: تَعْصِي الرَّسُوْلَ وَأَنْتَ تُظْهِرُ حُبَّهُ هٰذَا لَعَمْرِي فِي الْفِعَالِ عَجِيْبُ لَوْ كَانَ حُبُّكَ صَادِقًا لَأَطَعْتَهُ إِنَّ الْمُحِبَّ لِمَنْ يُحِبُّ مُطِيْعُ You disobey the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and also profess your love for him, claiming "I am a lover of the Prophet" — this is a strange and astonishing thing. If your love for the Prophet ﷺ were true, you would definitely obey him, because it is a rule that a lover always acts according to the will of the beloved. Giving an answer to this, my mentor (Hazrat) said that this spark of love has been buried under the ashes of unlawful desires, sensual pleasures, material ties, worldly interests, and negligence towards the Hereafter. The love is there, and it is greater than everything, but it has been buried under the ashes of desires and heedlessness. Draw it out a little, blow upon it the wind of the remembrance of Allah (Zikr-e-Ilahi), and then witness its warmth. The spark of love for the Prophet ﷺ inside the heart beneath the ashes will turn into a fire and begin to blaze. And when it blazes up, its brilliance and fragrance will spread throughout the entire world. ___________📝📝___________ (Book: Rahmat-ul-lil-Ameen ﷺ ki Chamak aur Mehak Page Number: 28-29-30 Author: Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Saleem Dhorat) Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App
