*The Effect of a Mother's Curse — Today or Tomorrow*

Elders have written an incident that an innocent child was crying, and out of anger, the mother said, "May you die!" Allah Almighty's wrath was provoked, and Allah accepted her curse, but He did not give death to the child at that moment. When the child grew up, in the very prime of his youth, he became the coolness of his parents' eyes and the peace of their hearts. Whoever saw the youth of this child was left astonished. In the very prime of his youth, when that fruit had ripened, Allah Almighty plucked it. A sweet, juicy, clean, golden, youthful apple suddenly dropped to the ground; He gave him death.

Now the same mother is weeping that her young son has been separated from her, but she was told, "This is the very same prayer (curse) that you had asked for your child. But We did not cut the fruit at that time; We let it ripen. Now that this fruit has ripened, We have cut it so that your heart may grieve deeply. Why do you weep now? This is the earning of your own hands."

How often does it happen that a mother utters curses, and when she sees before her eyes that those curses are accepted, she goes around weeping that her son met with an accident or her son's life got ruined. O sister! All this happens because you are unaware of your status. You should know that if you offered prayers and prayed for your child, Allah Almighty would grant good fortune to your child; a mother's prayer is the guarantor of protection.

It is mentioned about a pious elder that his mother passed away. Thereupon, Allah Almighty inspired that elder, "O My dear! Now remain a bit careful, for the personality whose prayers used to protect you has left the world." Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)! Truly, it is a fact that the prayers of parents keep guard around the children.

The Magnanimity of Fazl bin Rabi'

The Magnanimity of Fazl bin Rabi'

A person wrote a forged letter in the name of Fazl bin Rabi', in which an order for one thousand dinars was issued for himself and signed. The man took the letter and reached the treasurer of Fazl bin Rabi'. The treasurer read the letter but suspected nothing. He was just about to hand over the one thousand dinars to him when, in the meantime, Fazl bin Rabi' himself arrived there for some work. The treasurer mentioned that man to him and also showed him the letter. After looking at the letter, Fazl bin Rabi' cast a glance at the man's face; his face had turned pale and he was trembling with fear. Fazl bin Rabi' lowered his head, thought for a while, and then addressed the treasurer, "Do you know why I have come to you at this time?" The treasurer shook his head in negation. Fazl bin Rabi' said, "I have come only to emphasize that you must pay the amount to this person immediately and fulfill his need." The treasurer immediately put a thousand dinars into a bag and handed them over to the man. The man was left dumbfounded. In a state of nervousness, he would look sometimes at the face of Fazl bin Rabi' and sometimes at the treasurer's. Fazl bin Rabi' came close and addressed him, "Do not worry, and head home happily." Out of intense emotion, that person kissed the hand of Fazl bin Rabi' and said, "You covered my fault and did not humiliate me. May Allah cover your faults on the Day of Resurrection and protect you from humiliation." Saying this, he took the dinars and left.
