The Creation of Jinn

The mention of Jinn has appeared frequently in the Quran and Hadith. Their creation had already taken place before humans. Allah Ta'ala created them from fire. For a long period, they inhabited the earth, but then they began to spread mischief and shed blood, so Allah Ta'ala drove them away to the islands of the seas and distant mountains through the angels. Iblis (Satan) was also from among the Jinn, but due to his abundance of worship, he was made the leader of the angels. However, when Allah Ta'ala commanded him to prostrate (Sajdah) before Hazrat Adam (Alaihissalam), he showed arrogance and refused to prostrate. Consequently, Allah Ta'ala cast him out, sent him to the world, and stripped him of all blessings. In this way, arrogance disgraced and humiliated him forever. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sent to this world for the guidance and direction of both humans and Jinn; accordingly, the mention of inviting the Jinn to Islam is present in the Hadiths, and the description of a group of Jinn accepting faith is also mentioned in the Holy Quran.
