🍁 *Mere Intelligence is Nothing!* 🍁

Mere intelligence is of no use unless it is accompanied by respect and manners (Adab). Thousands of intelligent people have gone to waste, and excessive cleverness sometimes becomes a cause of misguidance; in fact, it proves harmful.

Reading history reveals that most of the founders of the deviated sects born in Islam were extremely intelligent, but it seems that they committed some such mistake in their youth for which they received this punishment. Therefore, the reverence of the Book (Quran) and Sunnah, respect for the Shariah, and manners towards teachers and elders are foremost. Without this, nothing can be achieved.

~ Thinker of Islam, Hazrat Maulana Sayyid Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi (Rahimahullah)
