The First Night of Marriage... and the Poet

________________________

How can I tell you what happened on the wedding night?

The ghost of poetry was riding high upon my mind!

On one side, poetic verses were being composed,

While on the other side, the bride lay fast asleep.

I was speaking only in the strict meters of poetry,

Stepping a few paces ahead of even my own master.

I got so entangled in fixing a poetic line that dawn broke,

And the darkness vanished away from my eyes.

Getting up from the bed, the bride finally spoke,

"To hell with this poetry of yours!"

"Fa'ilatun... Fa'ilatun... Fa'ilat..."

Chanting this, she kicked me right out of bed!

"The entire night you just kept on composing verses,

And all the desires of my heart washed away in tears!"

A Wali's True Prophecy:

A Wali's True Prophecy:

Hazrat Shah Abdul Rahim Saharunpuri, who was a great man of spiritual unveiling and miracles (Sahib-e-Kashf-o-Karamat), a very famous incident of his is that Hakeem Nooruddin came from Punjab to Hazrat Shah Sahab for medical treatment... Hazrat said to him, "Hakeem Sahab, is there a place called Qadian in Punjab? Has anyone claimed prophethood from there?" Hakeem Sahab said, "No one has."... Hazrat Shah Sahab said, "A person from there will claim prophethood, and in the Preserved Tablet (Lauh-e-Mahfuz), you are written as his companion. There is a disease within you (this disease of debating and entangling will take you there, and you will be afflicted. We will not be present at that time, but by the permission of Allah) we inform you beforehand."... Accordingly, it happened exactly so, that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani claimed prophethood, and this Hakeem Sahab went to debate with him, fell into his trap, believed in him, and then became his first caliph... We seek refuge in Allah (Na'oodhu Billah)." (Aap Beati by Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Zakariya Rahimahullah) ____📝📝📝____ Book: Qabiliyat aur Maqbooliyat. Page Number: 102.
