Everyone has sewn their lips, is this what humanity is?
Is fearing every power our true reality?
With the chains of fear bound to their minds, everyone is content,
O, is being oblivious to the world truly a state of divine madness?
To what a strange settlement have I come to call out to its people,
Is cowering and hiding inside the house considered safety here?
They hesitate to speak the truth in front of the enemy,
Is merely standing on the prayer mat the true station of servitude?
"Lest this might happen, lest that might happen"—
Is remaining suppressed by the oppressor our defining trait?
