Sayings: Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Hakeem Akhtar Sahab (May Allah have mercy on him) -
The intermingling of men and women in the business line is also at its peak. Look! First of all, one should look for such a livelihood in which there is no fear of sin and no encounter with women, even if the livelihood is less. If God is found even by tying a stone [to the stomach], the deal is not expensive; this is one thing. But if there is no other source and the salary is so low that survival is impossible in it, then tolerate it but keep searching for a livelihood. There are many sources of livelihood where women have no passage there.
Friends! Tie a stone on the stomach, but keep Allah pleased. InshaAllah Ta'ala, Allah Ta'ala will grant the taste of biryani in your chutney-roti. In your little livelihood, He will grant a taste in the heart greater than the kings envied by the seven realms of the kingdom.
A heavy ache often remains in the heads of kings due to the heavy crown,
And a river of light flows in the chests of the pure-hearted.
If keeping women increases selling, dealing, and rolling, protect yourself from this loading and boarding. The Companions (Sahaba) tied stones to their stomachs but did not displease Allah.
The Khalifa of Hakim al-Ummat Thanvi (May Allah have mercy on him), Hazrat Shah Wasiullah Sahab (May Allah have mercy on him) had a ghee shop. A customer of twenty thousand came to buy ghee. It was just placed on the scale when the sound of Adhan came. That's it! Left it right there, returned twenty thousand and said, "I will go perform prayer and then give the ghee. If waiting for me is difficult for you, you can buy from another shop." That non-Muslim customer said: "The one who fears God so much, we will buy ghee only from him so that my ghee and its weight are correct." Consequently, so many sales occurred that his ghee business became the foremost in all of Allahabad.
Therefore, understand well, the stature of a believer (Mumin) is that if he earns ten thousand, manage in just five thousand, but do not keep girls as P.A. (Personal Assistant), otherwise they will drink up the faith (Iman). Those who keep girls as P.A. remain intoxicated without drinking. Therefore, do not keep them as P.A., even if the sale decreases, no matter what happens. A believer is one who risks his life. Even if there is a million benefits in sin, do not look at the benefit. No one can benefit by displeasing Allah. Do not buy the displeasure of your Lord, otherwise His stick makes no sound. Went to bed safely at night and in the morning there is cancer in the neck. Therefore, out of fear of Allah Ta'ala, save your gaze, save your heart, and save your body. InshaAllah, we and you will die as Waliullah (friends of Allah).
Tie stones on your stomachs like the noble Companions. On the occasion of a battle (Ghazwa), the Companions said: "There is a stone on the stomach." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Two stones are tied to my stomach." In our case, no starvation is happening. InshaAllah, in this little livelihood which will be attained through the paths of Allah's pleasure, you will remain happy at all times. And if you increased wealth through paths of disobedience and pleased the heart with haram pleasures, then I say truly, you will never even dream of peace; whatever disease or punishment comes upon this is less.
The person who stays with a girl or a boy, one day or another their face will be blackened (disgraced). Therefore, run away from it like you run from a snake, no matter what the expediency is, grind all the spices and keep them aside (forget all excuses). Do not look at expediency or anything like "Sir! This boy is poor, an orphan, if I remove him from the house he will die of hunger." You are not his Lord, you are not his Sustainer, you are not responsible for raising him. Protect your faith. If dirty thoughts are coming into your heart and there is a danger of sin, some assistance can be given to him, but remove him from work, keep your eyes on Allah. Now if a girl comes and she is an orphan too, and her age is fifteen years, and she starts crying, "Sir! Keep me as a maid," keeping her as a maid is not permissible for you. You get her married, take out money, loosen your pocket, take out money from the zip of your pocket, remove your chain and give her peace (chain), do not ruin your spiritual peace (deeni chain) for her peace (chain). Ah, there are many ways, at least consult, but do not make such a daring move.
