June 14, 2025, New Delhi The central government has set up a high-level committee to investigate the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, which will submit its report within three months. The accident killed 265 people and injured many others. The committee will have access to flight data, cockpit voice recorders, aircraft repair records and witness statements. The committee, headed by the home secretary, will inspect the site, interview crew and air traffic controllers, and cooperate with international agencies if foreign nationals or aircraft manufacturers are involved.
