Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets 5-star safety rating, passes Bharat NCAP test

June 14, 2025, New Delhi The popular car Dzire from the country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has secured a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) crash test. The updated model performed excellently in the adult and child occupant safety tests. Union Road and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has congratulated the company. Nitin Gadkari's statement In a post on X on Wednesday, Gadkari said, "Congratulations to Maruti Suzuki on the 5-star Bharat NCAP rating for the new Dzire. This is a proud moment for Made-in-India cars." Under his guidelines, Bharat NCAP was launched in 2023, with the aim of improving safety standards for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Global NCAP had also given 5 stars to the Dzire before its launch in November 2024. Safety features of the new Dzire The new Dzire comes with 6 airbags, advanced active and passive safety features. Gadkari said that the company's adoption of safety standards is encouraging. The aim of Bharat NCAP is to create awareness among the public about vehicle safety so that consumers prioritize safety while purchasing.
