A thrilling encounter between the police and the Nandu-Venkat gang in Delhi's Jaffarpur Kalan area has created a stir in the city. Details of the incident On the night of August 30, 2025, on a tip-off, the Special Cell of Delhi Police launched an operation against two shooters of the Nandu-Venkat gang, Harshdeep alias Ankit (20 years, Ambala) and Naveen Dhiman (24 years, Panipat), in Jaffarpur Kalan. The police surrounded the accused and asked them to surrender, but they opened fire on the police without provocation. In the retaliatory action, both were shot in the legs, after which they were arrested and shifted to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital. Police recovered two modern automatic pistols (one Glock 17 and one Star), seven bullets, and four empty cartridges from the suspects. Suspects August 28 were involved in a shooting and extortion incident at a businessman's house in Chawla. According to Additional CP Special Cell PS Kushwaha, Harshdeep was tasked by London-based gang leaders Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu and Venkat Garg to intimidate the businessman, while Naveen was providing logistical support.
