Translation
Hazrat Hakim bin Muawiyah al-Qushayri (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that I asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! What is the right of the wife of one of us over him?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "That when you eat, you feed her too, when you wear clothes, you clothe her too, and do not hit on the face, and do not say bad words to her, and do not separate from her except within the house." (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah) (Ar-Rafeeq Al-Faseeh)
