Sheikh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen states:

Generally, whoever indulges in argumentation and disputation is deprived of the blessing of knowledge; because an argumentative person only seeks the victory of his own stance... As for the truth, it is very simple and clear, it does not require lengthy disputations.
