Following these attacks, Indian students studying in Iran have appealed to the Indian government for immediate evacuation, saying, "We are scared, get us out of here." Students' distress Tabiya Zahra, a second-year MBBS student at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, from Kashmir, told the media, "The attack started at 3:30 pm, the ground shook. It was very scary. Now the situation is somewhat calm and we are safe, but the fear is still there." She added that the university authorities instructed the students to remain calm, but did not identify safe areas. The students have requested the Indian government to plan an evacuation and return as soon as possible. A large number of Indian students, especially in medical institutions, are studying in Tehran and its surroundings, but their exact number is not yet clear. The tensions have brought the Middle East to the brink of war. Kashmiri students appeal The Jammu and Kashmir Students Union has written to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, requesting immediate assistance for Indian students studying in Iran, especially Kashmiri students. The conclusion is that the Israel-Iran conflict has put the lives of Indian students in Tehran at risk. Their voices of fear are a call for urgent action by the Indian government. New Delhi must ensure the safe return of its citizens through diplomatic and practical measures. The international community also has a role to play in resolving this crisis.
