ED questions Anil Ambani: 17,000 crore fraud or government spectacle?

ED questions Anil Ambani: Storm in Rs 17,000 crore loan fraud case, but is it all a drama? Another news that shook the Indian stock market has exposed the ongoing game between capitalists and the public. Anil Ambani, chairman of Reliance Group, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an alleged Rs 17,000 crore loan fraud case. This is the same Ambani whose business network once touched the sky, but today he is under investigation for being caught in a debt trap. The ED seized documents and digital records related to 50 companies and 25 individuals at 35 locations in three-day raids that began on July 24. The investigation is ongoing into illegal loan transfers worth Rs 3,000 crore from Yes Bank during 2017-19 and a fraud of over Rs 14,000 crore by Reliance Communications. But here is a bitter truth. While the ED raids and interrogations are in the headlines, the public is asking whether it is all a show-off. There are investigations against big capitalists like Anil Ambani and Adani, but the results are often zero. Yes Bank promoters Bribes before loans, money laundering through shell companies, and the game of forged documents—all these point to an organized conspiracy. But what does the government’s behavior say? When the common man winds up in jail for not paying a small loan, why do these capitalists get a reprieve time and again? Is it the rule of law or the capitalists? The government’s silence and the selective actions of the ED rub salt in the wounds of the people. When the shares of Reliance Power and Reliance Infrastructure fall, who suffers? The common investor, who invests his hard-earned money in these companies. On the other hand, be it the barrage of allegations against the Adani Group or the investigation of Ambani, the government’s patronage is with them. From ports, airports, and energy projects to government contracts, these capitalists have deep roots. While the common Indian is suffering under the burden of inflation, unemployment, and taxes, these capitalists thrive in the shadow of the government. ED arrests Biswal Tradelink Managing Director Parth Sarathi Biswal for fake bank guarantee worth Rs 68.2 crore. But what? Will this arrest reach the real culprits, or is it just a small pawn? The public is seeing where the government's priorities lie. While farmers, laborers, and small traders are committing suicide due to debt, the law becomes a soft blanket for these capitalists. It is time to ask the government: Is the law equal for everyone? Or is it just a weapon to suppress the poor? As long as the likes of Ambani and Adani enjoy the patronage of the government, the voice of the public will continue to be suppressed. If this investigation truly leads to justice, it will be a revolution. Otherwise, it is just another spectacle, the loss of which will be borne by the common Indian.
