Rumors of NEET-UG Re-exam Paper Leak on Social Media, NTA Takes Action

New Delhi: Even before the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026, rumors of a paper leak are rife on social media. Some suspicious Telegram groups are claiming to provide the paper in advance for ₹35,000. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken immediate action and handed over the matter to the Cyber Crime Department.

Key Points:

Fraud on Telegram: Telegram groups like 'Private Mafia' and 'Proof' are misleading students by sharing pictures of bundles of question papers. A message has been regularly pinned in the group stating: "From tomorrow, the advance price will be 35 thousand rupees."

NTA's Action: Taking immediate note of an X (Twitter) user's indication, NTA has sent all suspicious links and claims to Cyber Dost (Cyber Crime Department) for legal action.

Experts' Opinion: Social media experts state that this is merely a "bogus online scam," where attempts are being made to extort money from stressed students by showing old papers or papers from other exams.

Instructions for Candidates: NTA and the Ministry of Education have warned students not to believe any such rumors and to rely only on the information provided on the official website.

Examination Schedule:

It is to be noted that the original exam held on May 3 was cancelled after evidence of a paper leak was found, for which a CBI inquiry is ongoing. Now the schedule for the re-examination is as follows:
