Mumbai: A video of well-known comedian Kunal Kamra has created a stir in Maharashtra politics as soon as it surfaced on social media. In the video, Kunal allegedly mocked Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, which angered Shiv Sena workers. On Sunday night, Shiv Sena workers vandalized the Hotel Unicontinental in Mumbai, where the video was shot. The police have registered a case against 20 people, including Rahul Kunal of the Shinde group. The MIDC police have also registered a case against Kunal under the provisions of the BNS, while action was sought on the complaint of Shiv Sena leader Murji Patel. Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mahaske threatened that "Kunal will not be allowed to roam in Maharashtra but all over India." On the other hand, Aaditya Thackeray and Sanjay Raut supported Kunal and criticized the government. The video of the vandalism went viral, which Sanjay Raut shared as "Kunal's brilliance". Mhaske alleged that Kunal was taking money from Uddhav Thackeray and speaking against Shinde. Shiv Sena workers created a ruckus in the hotel and demanded strict action against Kunal.
