Shahjahanpur: A horrific accident took place on Monday morning near Jamuka village in Rosa police station area on the Lucknow-Bareilly highway, where a speeding car rammed into a stationary truck. Three members of a family—Shivam Pandey (37), his two-year-old son Madhavan, and sister Shweta Dwivedi (42)—who were going to Nainital from Gorakhpur were killed in the horrific incident. Demand for money instead of help The apathy of the locals was revealed after the accident. Relatives said that they themselves broke the car window with a broom and pulled out the injured. While taking them to the hospital, a youth demanded Rs 500 for directions. The injured include Shivam's wife Shalini, who is in a coma, and Shweta's son Shivansh, who was referred to Lucknow. Cause of the accident and driver's statement According to the police, the accident occurred when the driver of the car, Angad, fell asleep. Angad kept crying and saying that Shivam was like a king to him and the speed of the car was only 60-70 kmph. The car was badly damaged after colliding with the truck. Who was Shivam Pandey?
