Why Don't These Conditions Change? The Tragedy of the Ummah and the Need for Direct Repentance

Why Don't These Conditions Change? The Tragedy of the Ummah and the Need for Direct Repentance

Some people complained to Muhi-us-Sunnah Hazrat Shah Abrar-ul-Haq that the troubles of Muslims are increasing day by day. Great arrangements for prayers (Duas) are being made in monasteries (Khanqahs) and madrasas, and the men of Allah are continuously praying before Him, yet the troubles of Muslims keep rising and conditions are going from bad to worse. At that time, Hazrat explained the matter by giving an example: If a person's father becomes angry with him and, due to his displeasure, stops his favors upon him, and instead of seeking forgiveness and making amends with his father directly, the boy goes around telling others, "My father is angry with me, please intercede on my behalf so that he becomes pleased with me and treats me with the same old love," while he himself does not turn to his father directly, nor confesses or admits his mistake to him, then how will the father look upon him with favor? At present, the tragedy of the entire Ummah is exactly this: they themselves commit insolence and crimes before the Creator of the universe, but for their forgiveness and amends, they go around asking the people of Allah and spiritual elders (Mashaikh) to pray for them, without feeling the need or making an effort to repent and seek forgiveness (Tawbah and Istighfar) directly before Allah themselves. The path of Allah is still open, all signs and marks are still intact; But the servants of Allah have stopped walking on this path. _____________________________________ (Book: Monthly Mazahir-ul-Uloom Saharanpur (November) Page Number: 6 Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App)
